Is that a software error? Anything that can be updated to solve it? Maybe it has something to do with the Intel Media Decoder DLL shipping with Intel Graphics Drivers: C:\WINDOWS\system32\libmfxhw64.dll ? IOAMFCodec cannot be initialized with property successfully I don’t need any crazy effects, but only to cut bike-trip-footage and be able to judge cuts correctly and without hiccups. Meaning that with a simple color correction and/or LUT applied, it should play back as smoothly as it used to back in 16.0. But technically, it’s capable of decoding x264 8-bit and x265. I am aware, that the internal GPU - a Intel HD 620 (8th generation) - won’t match up to a dedicated AMD or Nvidia card. moving footage from external SSD drive to internal SSD to rule out bottleneck ![]() ![]() I have been with DVR since 16.0 and have edited videos with complex compositions on the same laptop (even only with 8GB of RAM instead of 16GB now!) and it’s been an okay experience so far. ![]() The behaviour is identical when caching color output. Meaning, that wherever I place the cursor on the timeline and/or select a different clip, the image in the monitor won’t change! until I restart DVR. Sometimes the playback stalls completely. This makes cuts and transitions extremly hard to judge. Playback is at times choppy/laggy (not reaching 25 fps) even with effects bypassed. GoPro 2.7k x264 8-bit 50 fps imported to a 1080p 25fps timeline. I am pulling out my hair here with Resolve 18.0.4.
